You win the Cash4Life jackpot if you successfully match the five main numbers and the additional Cash Ball number that came up in the draw! If you have only a partial match, you could still be eligible to win prizes in the eight additional Cash4Life prize divisions. How Big Can Cash4Life Jackpots Get?
The New Jersey Cash4Life lottery jackpot is guaranteed at $7 million. If you are the sole winner of the Cash4Life jackpot, your prize will be the equivalent of $1,000 per day for life, or for the twenty (20) year term of the Guaranteed Annuity Portion, whichever is longer.
If you win the Cash4Life second level prize, your prize will be the equivalent of $1,000 per week for life, or for the twenty (20) year term of the Guaranteed Annuity Portion, again, whichever is longer. This prize is awarded up to a maximum of five winners. If there are more than five winners of the second level prize, the prize amount is divided among the number of winning tickets.
In certain cases, based on the total number of winning tickets, the jackpot and other prizes will be awarded on a Pari-Mutuel basis.
Your overall odds of winning a prize with Cash4Life are as low as 1:8, whereas to win the jackpot you'll receive odds of 1:21,846,048.
How Are the Top Prizes Paid?
The top two prizes for this lottery are both paid in equal installments, also known as the ‘Annuity Option’. The payout will be calculated annually, with the payment schedule determined at the discretion of the New Jersey Lottery. Alternatively, eligible winners may choose the 'Lump Sum Cash Option,' receiving the prize in a single lump sum payment.
The Annuity Payouts for Cash4Life are:
Top Prize Annuity Option = $1,000 a day for life.
Second Prize Annuity Option = $1,000 per week for life.
The top prize annuity is paid either weekly ($7,000 per week) or annually ($365,000).
The Lump Sum Cash Payouts for Cash4Life Are:
Top Prize Cash Option = a one-time payment of approximately $7,000,000.
Second Prize Cash Option = a one-time payment of approximately $1,000,000.
